A handcrafted gin from the Swedish island of Hven and using an unusual method in comparison to other gin makers, it is aged in American oak barrels for 18 months, before distillation. The result is an oily and thicker, richer mouthfeel. With organic botanicals used, juniper, grains of paradise, Sichuan pepper, citrus, aniseed, guinea pepper an Mauritian Bourbon vanilla, this gin is extremely well-rounded with a complex but soft profile. The additional strength of 57.1% really impacts the palate with spicy Sichuan pepper, cassia and cumin.
